On November 21, 2005, Spartan Controls was recognized at SAIT's annual Industrial Instrumentation Industry evening.

For more than 20 years, SAIT and Spartan have enjoyed an exceptional partnership.  Spartan has been a long-time supporter of students in the Industrial Instrumentation Technology program through student awards dating back to 1983.

Spartan has contributed instrumentation and control equipment to the Industrial Instrumentation programs and established the Spartan Controls and Emerson process Management Applied Control Systems Lab as well as supported significant equipment contributions to the instrumentation, analytical and fieldbus labs in the BP Control Engineering Technology Centre.

A new gift of process control equipment has supported a doubling in the number of students served, as SAIT transitions to the new program - Instrumentation Engineering Technology.  The lab is also used by apprentices in the Instrument Technician program.

As volunteers, Spartan continues to be active supporters as members of SAIT's advisory committees and fundraising campaigns.
