Ignition Control Systems

MPI Ignition System Controllers utilize the latest microprocessor based designs to provide improved programming and diagnostics for today's industrial gas engines. Operators of MPI controllers have more information to be used locally or remotely, giving them "full authority" to fine tune their operations for enhanced efficiency.

MPI Ignition Coils

MPI Ignition Coils are designed for true secondary diagnostics/prognostics. Included are MPI Smart Coil™ designs. All coils have patented secondary monitoring lead to perform in-depth diagnostics/prognostics.

Detonation Sensing

The MPI Detonation Sensing Interface System (DSI) utilizes a pair of highly sensitive accelerometers to detect detonation. In the event of detonation, the DSI signals the MPI Ignition System, via 4/20 ma control signal, which responds by immediately retarding the timing thus eliminating the potentially harmful effects of continuous detonation.

Hall-Effect Sensors, Magnetic Pick-Ups, Reluctor Pins and Cable Assemblies

MPI offers a wide variety of Hall Effect Sensors, Magnetic Pickups, Reluctor Pins and Cable Assemblies which are fully compatible with all standard industrial gas engine and MPI ignition control systems. Operators can choose from five methods of sensor reference to meet their needs.

MPI 601 Series Ignition

The MPI 601 Series is a self-powered CD ignition system which can be installed on any large flywheel, spark-ignited engine. With electronics engine-mounted in close proximity to the flywheel, the unit is powered by magnetic charging circuitry.

Brushless Alternators

MPI Ignition Systems are optimized with power supplies utilizing MPI high quality brushless alternators. Designed for long-lasting durability with no moving electrical components. Ideal for all industrial applications, certified for hazardous duty locations and field proven.

Magneto Replacement Parts

An array of new and rebuilt Magneto Replacement Cores is available from MPI to provide powerful start-up assistance for a wide variety of engines and applications.
